Looking at the brightest stars!

Ever since she was little we have always watched the starts at night and I would tell her “that very bright one up there is your momma, she will always watch over you”. So each night till this very day as we walk from the car into the house to get ready for the week ahead, she grabs my hand and looks up to the sky and says…..there’s momma! She has to tell me about the big and little dippers and how they look like spoons that hold stuff with little handles to hold in your hand.

After the passing of her grandfather and great-grandfather she now finds other stars that are also bright and that’s her Papaw, Nanny O and Mamaw. It makes my eyes fill with tears each time, some happy and some sad but I can’t let her see because she doesn’t know life with you here walking on earth and I don’t want something she loves to talk to me about to become a place of sadness for her. I am so glad she has your caring, loving, soft and giving side of you for others in her heart! 💜 She has the kindest personality and empathy for others that I know didn’t come from me, haha!

We have to remember that we all have our bright stars in life, we have to take time to spend with them and know that it’s temporary but all we can do is show them we care and appreciate them until they rise up to be those bright stars to guide us each night! ✨
